Win Sally Ratcliffe custom silver squirrel jewellery
Squirrel Hosting has teamed up with Sally Ratcliffe, a renowned Sheffield jeweller to create these two custom pieces of jewellery which could be yours for free! This one of a kind custom commisioned set consists of 2 hammered silver earrings and one silver necklace. All the ladies in the office want them but unfortunatly this competition isn't open to Squirrel Employees (sorry!).
In case you don't know - who is Sally Ratcliffe?
Sally, inspired by her upbringing in North Wales and its surrounding countryside, creates work in silver, often incorporating gold detail and semi-precious gemstones. She especially likes to use surface texturing techniques like reticulating. This process gives each piece produced a totally different appeal.
In 2005 Sally was awarded a grant from the Arts Council to experiment and produce some larger pieces of work, resulting in several sculptures, 'Cornfield', 'Seascape' and 'Woodland' to name a few. After this experimental period, Sally was inspired to produce several new ranges of jewellery which 'sit' perfectly alongside their namesake sculptures!
Sally now works from her workshop and shop in Sheffield (Abbey Lane), designing and making all the jewellery herself and experimenting with new ideas.
