How to install PayPal Module on PrestaShop
The following guide will take you through all the steps needed to install PayPal on your PrestaShop website.

Install PayPal module on PrestaShop 1.6
Step 1 : Download the PayPal module from Prestashop.com
Click the download button as shown in the picture below.
Next, save the zip file to your computer. Make sure to remember where it has downloaded it to.
Step 2 : Install PayPal module via your PrestaShop admin area.
Log into your admin area and move over the module's tab, then click the 'modules' popout.
Next, click the 'Add a new module' button in the top right.
Now you will need to upload the PayPal module to your site. Click the 'Choose a file' button.
Find the file on your computer and then select it. Finally, click the 'Upload this module' button.
PrestaShop will now upload this module for you and display 'The module was downloaded successfully' message.
If you scroll down, you will now see the PayPal module has been uploaded to your prestashop admin. Click the 'Install' button next to it.
You will now see a 'Module(s) installed successfully' message appear.
Step 3 : Set up the PayPal module
The last thing you need to do is set up the module to work with your PayPal account. If you do not have a PayPal account, you will need to sign up at paypal.com.
If you have a Business PayPal account, choose yes otherwise - click no.
Next, click the 'Choose Website Payments Standard' radio button.
After this, click the 'Get my API credentials' button.
Log into your PayPal account in the popup window.
You will now be shown your PayPal API details. Copy these into the corresponding boxes in your PrestaShop admin.

Set to Live Mode (recommended)
Under Payment Type, select 'Direct Sales (recommended) then click the 'Save' button.
You will now see a popup window saying "Congratulations, you can now start accepting payments with PayPal".
Click the close button in the top right.
Finally load up your PrestaShop website as a customer. Next, add something to your cart then view the cart. You should see the PayPal express button is now live on your site.
That's it. You have now installed and enabled the PayPal module on your Prestashop site.
